
The Washington based campus of the Northwest Service Academy, known as the Mt. Adams Center, is located in the heart of the Cascade Mountain Range. Now in its 15th year, the Mt. Adams Center serves as a training and operational hub for its AmeriCorps Programs.
AmeriCorps Internship Program
Members are placed individually with their sponsoring organization and serve a one year term.
AmeriCorps Field Team Program
Members are based at the Mt. Adams Residential Center and serve with their sponsoring agency June Through October. Field Teams specialize in conservation, trail building, wildfire protection, and habitat restoration.
The center places over 70 AmeriCorps members with government agencies or
non profit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. AmeriCorps volunteers receive an AmeriCorps education award in addition to a modest living stipend and health insurance.
